Black Star Gate: After breakfast, depart in an air-conditioning vehicle, beginning your Accra city tour at the Black Star Gate, and the iconic Independence Square. Witness the historic struggle for Ghana’s independence, and hear the inspiring stories behind these historical monuments.

Explore its 7 suspended bridges built in 1994, – about 130ft above ground level. Elmina Castle Tour: Built in 1482 by Portuguese traders. Explore its fascinating history and learn about the lives of those who walked these corridors centuries ago. Horror lurked in every corner – from the condemned cell to the grim male and female dungeons topped ironically by the Church of England.
Cape Coast Castle Tour: Built in 1653, this castle was the main historical hub, where slaves were kept before loaded onto ships and sold in the Americas/ Caribbean. Itinerary Description: Discover the natural marvels and cultural treasures of Aburi, nestled atop the serene hills in the Eastern region of Ghana. Located northeast of Accra, Aburi boasts a cooler climate due to its higher altitude. A visit to the Aburi Botanical Gardens, a craft village, Oboadaka waterfalls, and the historic Tetteh Quarshie cocoa farms offers a tranquil outdoor experience and nature education.
Itinerary: Depart after breakfast. Enjoy a scenic drive through the winding mountain road and arrive at Aburi Botanical Gardens: Overhere, visitors are enveloped in a serene oasis of lush greenery and vibrant blooms. On a guided tour, stroll through the garden’s winding trails, and encounter a diverse array of native and exotic tree species, while learning about the importance of conservation and biodiversity.
Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm: Next stop is the Tetteh Quarshie cocoa farm in Akuapim-Mampong. Established in 1879 by Tetteh Quarshie, this farm holds the distinction of being Ghana’s first commercial cocoa plantation. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness two of the original cocoa trees, now over 145 years old, still bearing fruits. Next, you’ll route downhill and arrive at Oboadaka Waterfalls. Songbirds, distinct pine smells, and the splashing sound of the towering waterfall provide a happy balance of welcome, awe, and wonder. Adorned with thick foliage, Oboadaka waterfall is about 623ft above ground level.
Aburi Craft Village: Discover traditional Ghanaian art at the Aburi Craft Village. Witness skilled local artisans sculpt intricate pieces purchase authentic souvenirs and break for lunch. Discover Bead Making in Krobo: Explore the intricate process of bead-making, from melting recycled glass bottles to molding them into various shapes, often adorned with unique designs.
Stroll their showroom offering a variety of traditional beads – necklaces, waist beads, and arm
beads – all meticulously handmade by local artisans. Get the opportunity to create your beads –

Depart for Volta Ghana: Descend and arrive in Akosombo. Here, you’ll experience a local boat
ride on the serene waters of Lake Volta, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. After
this cruise, your journey continues to Ho, the capital town of the Volta region.

Gemi, the highest human settlement in Ghana to enjoy a close-knit way of life in the heart of nature. Conquer the height of Afadjato during an invigorating hike, and marvel at the cascading wonder of Wli Waterfall.
ITINERARY: Discover Amedzofe – the City in the Sky: Visit Mount. Gemi at Amedzofe, a hidden gem in Volta – stands as the highest human settlement in Ghana. Next is a Canopy Walk through the lush treetops, offering panoramic views of the landscape with the Ote Waterfall in a close backdrop.
Marvel at Wli Waterfall: Take a leisurely walk through lush forests, crossing nine-footbridges
over the Agumatsa River, reaching the Wli Waterfall, the tallest (60 meters) in West Africa.
Dinner and Overnight in a modern eco-lodge
After breakfast, hike Afadjato – the highest peak in Ghana stands at approximately 885 meters (2,904ft a.s.l.). Ascend its slopes and take in the beautiful views of the evergreen forest, and diverse flora. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic vistas that stretch as deep as the gaze allows.
After the hike, descend to Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary & Cultural Village and get close to the friendly Mona monkeys in their natural habitat. Eat lunch and drive to Tafi Abuife Kente weaving village and observe hands-on, the art of kente weaving, an iconic Ghanaian textile tradition.
