Upon his return, in 1879, he introduced cocoa to Ghana, marking the beginning of the country’s cocoa industry. While there are speculations surrounding how Quarshie acquired the cocoa beans, including myths of smuggling by swallowing (body-packing), the farm stands as a testament to his legacy. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness two of the original cocoa trees, now over 145 years old, still bearing fruit.

Oboadaka Waterfall:
