Day 1 – Discover the Charms of Volta
Your adventure begins with a comfortable pick-up from your Accra hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle.

Arrive at the picturesque Akosombo Afrikiko River Front Resort. Here, you’ll experience a delightful boat ride on the serene waters of Lake Volta, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. As you cruise, take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Don’t forget to snap some photos to capture the moment. Enjoy a delicious breakfast by the lake.

Your journey continues as you make a stop in Ho, the charming capital town of the Volta region, for a delightful lunch. Savor the flavors of Volta cuisine at a hotel restaurant set on the Kabakaba hill offering a sweeping view of the Ho township.

Travel to Amedzofe, a hidden gem in Volta, nestled in the mountainous north of Ho, stands as the highest human settlement in Ghana. Prepare for an exhilarating Canopy Walk through the lush treetops, offering stunning panoramic views of the landscape with the Ote Waterfall as a backdrop.

Day 2 – Conquer Afadjato and Explore Wli Waterfall

Begin your day with breakfast, energizing you for the adventures ahead.

Embark on an epic journey to conquer Afadjato, the highest peak in Ghana standing at approximately 885 meters (2,904ft a.s.l.). Ascend its slopes and take in the beautiful views of the evergreen forest, and diverse flora. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic vistas that stretch as deep as the gaze allows.

After the hike, grab some snacks, and continue your journey to Wli Afegame. Enjoy a modern Volta cuisine lunch at a local restaurant, immersing yourself in the flavors of the region.

Day 3 – Scream in Delight at Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary and Return to Accra

Join a guided tour of Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary and get close to the friendly Mona monkeys in their natural habitat. Learn about the history of the people of Tafi Atome and their harmonious relationship with the monkeys. The people of Tafi Atome coexist with the revered Mona monkeys considering them sacred messengers of their ancestors from the migration days. These wise monkeys guided their forebears in search of arable land, water, and peaceful settlements, along with signaling the fetish priest when danger lurked. Presently, these monkeys continue their protective role, surrounding the village with their lush and territorial colonies, vigilant against external threats while providing wildlife sightings.
